RateSeal ("we", "our", or "us") is a rate monitoring service for tour and activity operators. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.
1. Information We Collect
Account information
When you register, we collect your email address and (if you use social login) your name as provided by Google or Facebook. We do not collect passwords directly — authentication is handled by Supabase Auth.
Tour and channel data
We collect the tour names and public listing URLs you provide (e.g. your Viator or GetYourGuide listing links). These are used to run rate checks on your behalf.
Check results
We store the results of each rate check — including prices, availability status, and promotional flags found on your public listing pages — in your account. This data is only visible to you.
Payment information
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card number or payment details. We receive only confirmation of payment and your subscription plan level.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To run scheduled rate checks on your public OTA listings
- To send you email alerts when a rate discrepancy is detected (paid plans only)
- To display your check history on your Results dashboard
- To manage your subscription and billing
- To contact you about important service updates
3. What We Do NOT Do
- We do not sell your data to any third party
- We do not access your OTA account credentials or private dashboards
- We only read publicly visible listing pages — the same pages any customer can see
- We do not use your data to train AI models
- We do not send marketing emails without your consent
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following trusted services to operate RateSeal:
- Supabase — database and authentication (data stored in US region)
- Cloudflare — website hosting and security
- Stripe — payment processing
- Resend — transactional email delivery
- Anthropic Claude — AI-powered price extraction from screenshots
Each service operates under its own privacy policy and data processing agreements.
5. Data Security
Your data is protected through:
- Row-Level Security (RLS) in our database — you can only access your own data
- Encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all data in transit
- API keys and secrets stored as encrypted environment variables, never in code
- No shared Google Sheets or shared storage — each account's data is isolated
6. Data Retention
We retain your check results for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, your data will be deleted within 30 days upon request.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Export your check history

8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you by email and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of RateSeal after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
